Dubai Safari Park is a great place to relax with children. Even in the heat, it can be comfortable thanks to the large number of shaded paths and air conditioning, as well as cafes with reasonable prices for Dubai.
The main advantage is that it is a cage-free zoo. You can see and photograph animals without a fence. However, to see wild animals, the zoo offers safari tours in comfortable buses that take you closer to the animals. The tours last 40 minutes and include a lecture about the animals.
The zoo is home to a white rhinoceros, for example. There are also lions, buffaloes, cheetahs and crocodiles. The hippopotamus is very vividly presented. It can be accessed through glass in a separate enclosure.
The zoo offers a feeding service for two animals: giraffes and lemurs at specific times. There is a queue to feed the giraffes, but it is inexpensive. The feed costs only 10 dirhams. A printout from a zoo employee in an album costs 100 dirhams. A nice souvenir to remember your visit!
There are also elephants, baboons, hyenas, chimpanzees, gorillas, beautiful flamingos, various antelopes… In general, there is a lot to see.
But the territory is very large and it seems that there are few animals, but this is not the case. There are not many people, perhaps because of the heat. And it is comfortable to look at the animals in this regard. I recommend visiting this place 🙂
The easiest way to get there is by city taxi. From the centre, the journey takes about 30 minutes and costs around 100 dirhams. It’s easy to get a taxi back too, as they are waiting at the exit.
